At first I didn’t find any flaws in “Kim”. And if I can’t find any flaws I can’t rewrite it to make it better.
It wasn’t good enough as it is, but still perfect in my eyes.
I had a problem. A huge problem.
I started to read the script again. Hey, that line isn’t needed. Now, wait a minute, this description sounds darn dull…
And slowly another image appeared. I did see flaws. I do understand why it was dumped.
YES!!!
There is hope!

Yes, there is! And none in the icy perfection!
I believe a script can always be better but we always run out of time to find that high point in a creation of a story.
You have more time to find that high point in "Kim".

Robert, too many stories are rushed through. Every filmmaker should have plenty of time and a abundant budget.
What you say is true as I see many failed movies that simply needed several more rewrites to polish the story before production began.
