This is my latest thinking-out-of-the-box exercise.
Can you match the descriptions with the “right” images?
1. It was a world of doubt and treason, a world of invisible powers working against mankind.
2. It was a world with a peculiar balance. They did not agree with each other and they never mixed, but there they lived, side by side without aggression.
3. It was a land of great beauty, but the harmony was no longer present. Danger lurked beyond its borders and came closer for each day.
4. It was a land where innovation gave birth to gadgets that was meant to save mankind. The smog, for instance, was taken care of by a giant vacuum cleaner, leaving the sky clear and blue.
The “correct” answer will appear later.

Sorry if this comes across as negative, it's not meant to be. But - Are these Screenwriting exercises? or something else.
Because if Screenwriting is about describing what you see in the image - and only those things / events that are seen - none of these descriptions fit the images or are appropriate for film.
As for other creative inspirations the descriptions seem to be more about you imprinting something onto them that is not already there.
Negative feedback is completely okay. Don't be afraid to confront me if you don't like what you see or disagree with me.
No, they are not screenwriting exercises.
It is what I call "thinking-out-of-the-box" exercises. It is ment to help me find new ways of thinking, widen my mind, not get stuck in old tracks.
To say that I imprint something that is not there - what happened to your imagination? That is the point with this exercise.
Feel free to take a look at previous entries concering this exercise.
No worries. I'll check out the other entries. I just suspected it might have had something to do with the previous movie script writing exercise.
As every scene in a new location usually begins with a location description - I figured this is what you were after.
Aha, now I understand. I didn't think about the possible connection with the previous post. Thank you for pointing out this to me.
Hi Désirée,
This is what I think (but I'm not sure, very nice exercise!):
1. It was a world of doubt and treason, a world of invisible powers working against mankind.
Image C.
2. It was a world with a peculiar balance. They did not agree with each other and they never mixed, but there they lived, side by side without aggression.
Image A.
3. It was a land of great beauty, but the harmony was no longer present. Danger lurked beyond its borders and came closer for each day.
Image B.
4. It was a land where innovation gave birth to gadgets that was meant to save mankind. The smog, for instance, was taken care of by a giant vacuum cleaner, leaving the sky clear and blue.
Image D.
Have a nice Sunday my friend!
Thank you for sharing. Brave of you to make a try. No one else seem to dare.
Now, of course, there is no right or wrong. I found your answers very interesting. It is obvious that a description gives different images depending on the reader.
I had the following combination in mind:
1 - D (I didn't like the color of that sky. Something was wrong)
2 - C (An oldfashiond farm and a nuclear power plant side by side)
3 - A (Sky red as fire, power poles hovering along the horizon)
4 - B (Definetly a long shot - invert the factory to a vacuumcleaner...)
